6/23/24 @12:52am (for her)

She thinks she is too hard to love

She sees herself as the artwork that is often walk past

Beautiful, yet too complex to understand.

Too overwhelming to analyze.

With too many layers to peel back

And too many colors for the naked eye

Only seen at the surface but never acknowledged on the inside

She thinks she is too hard to love

I tell her…

“Your complexity requires a higher standard of care

you’re not too hard to love

You’re a masterpiece that continues to

hang in low quality spaces that don’t have the

capacity to grasp all that you are

But there is a room for you

And inside there will be Someone excited to pull back each layer and learn all about you

Whose eyes will see through you and study you on the inside

You’re not too hard to love

God made it easy for the one who is supposed to love you

Not everyone was meant to analyze you.

Not every hand is clean enough to touch your pure heart

You weren’t made to please the whole world

There is no one you need to be perfect for

Yet still one day you will be seen as perfect by someone”
